Revised Date - Whitby Sports Hall of Fame 2020 Induction Gala

(Posted on March 24, 2020)

In our support of the global effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the members of the Whitby Sports Hall of Fame committee have unanimously decided to postpone our Induction Gala, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2020. While this is an unprecedented action in the 23-year history of our Hall, we feel that it is the right and only decision at this time in relation to safeguarding public health.

The date for our 2020 Induction Gala is now deferred to Saturday, August 15. All of our inductees for 2020 have confirmed their availability on this new date, and we will resume our preparations as soon as deemed safe by our public health officials.

We remain vigilant of the Coronavirus situation, including an assessment of ongoing information and recommendations from the government and public health sectors, and will notify all parties accordingly if further changes are suggested or mandated.
